Boaters, Fisherman,
Call us to find your lost cell phone, fishing gear or other personal items you dropped into the water!
It happens! when getting on and off the boat. We sometimes drop things into the water. Cell phones are the most common item. And guess what? They usually still work. Today's cell phones are great. Let's face it most of the water here in the Carolinas is dark and cloudy. Plenty of times I find that people try to jump in the water and try to find that item but cannot see underwater because the visibility seems to be only inches. It can be dangerous doing this because there could be something sharp on the bottom that could injure you or you could jump into the water and step on the lost cell phone pushing it deep into the mud and then it'll never be found. Let us come find your stuff and give it a fighting chance of being found. I can bring a metal detector to find your ring or bracelet also. Call us right away. My success rate of finding these items has been impeccable.
Explore the underwater world with Lake Wylie Scuba!
Lake Wylie Scuba is not a dive shop. It is an expert private Scuba instruction and guiding service. I do affiliate and promote with a dive shop, so your sales and rentals needs can be taken care of. We offer a wide range of Scuba classes from refreshers and "try dives" to full certification courses. Certification courses at all recreational levels, from beginners to advanced or even the leadership level of a Divemaster. Our experienced and certified instructor will teach you the latest skills and scuba specialties that interest you.
When you're shopping for dive classes, it's wise to shop for a great instructor rather than a certain scuba agency. We teach from a dive agency that is highly sought after and is a worldwide entity, but its more about the instructor rather than the agency itself. Know that all scuba agencies teach following the same standards. Here with us you will not get the bare minimum instruction. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond. It's the instructor who can truly make a difference in your experience. Ultimately after that, it's you and the effort you put into your class that determines what you will get from the teachings.
Openwater diver is your first step and course in your endeavor to become a Scuba diver. You will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to continue the sport of SCUBA diving. Next there are advancing courses like Advanced Openwater diver where you will build on your skills and experience a few different types of diving like doing a deep dive, diving at night or in limited visibility water and then you will learn to navigate underwater with a compass. You may also be interested in Rescue diver which can give you the skills for self-rescue and to help others if such an incident should arise. Also, we have the Masterdiver who again builds more skill set but also dives deeper into theory and physics our beloved sport. This will make you a much stronger and knowledgeable diver.
There are also specialty courses that both introduce you to a new type of diving and give you the confidence to continue these types of dives safely. A few popular specialties are, Nitrox diver, Wreck diver, Deep diver, Night/ low visibility diver, Drysuit diver, Full-face Mask diver and Sidemount diver. Please ask about other specialties we offer that you dont see listed here.

If you are just curious about scuba, you can Try SCUBA for the first time without commitment to a full scuba class.
As a certified diver, you can ask about trying a piece of SCUBA gear like a Full-Face mask or a Side-mounted BCD. These pieces of gear do not require Tec diving certifications to use.
Let us guide your experience on a dive in the ocean, lake, quarry or river while you discover the beauty that lies within. Come see a dive site that you haven't seen yet and add to your list of dive exposures or bucket list experiences.
Join our team of divers as we practice stewardship and conservation of the environment by following laws and permits that are required when we are underwater hunting for a fresh catch or collecting things like fossils or artifacts.
Participating in lake cleanups is a feel-good experience that gives back to the environment we love so much. We participate in group underwater clean-ups and don't hesitate to pick up trash while diving on any excursion.
By taking only pictures, we can leave underwater sites and attractions the way we found them so others may also enjoy them, hopefully for many years to come.
Ask about dive charters here in the Carolinas. We are often out chartering with a local dive charter service to some fantastic dive sites.
Watch for us to add a page to social media sites for your convenience, and to offer a place for divers to connect with more dive buddies. We love our customers, so feel free to call or leave a message if not during normal business hours.

At Lake Wylie Scuba, we believe that scuba should be accessible to everyone. That's why we offer competitive prices and flexible scheduling options in an effort to make diving easy and convenient for all.
We take calls for lost personal items in the water. Sometimes accidents happen, usually while boarding a boat from a dock. Our usual call is for a cell phone or wallet that has dropped into dark water. Our success rate is impeccable. Give us a call and we will do our best to find it!
We are not your average seasonal divers, we dive all year long. We guide locally and sometimes to destination locations. Checkout some of our dives on our calendar.
We have been to Florida this year already with a good group and had us a great time. Join us again during the winter or spring months of 2025, diving in the Florida Springs. The water temp is constantly 68-72 degrees any time of the year in these springs, so we can actually go there any time of the year that you wish. We are also diving

We will be diving a variety of lakes, rivers and quarries throughout the summer months of 2025. Some siters will be shore dives and some boat charters. People typically think of poor visibility in these bodies of freshwater, but we also visit freshwater locations that have surprisingly good visibility, as much as 25-30 feet.

This year we will also travel to the Northeast shores of Cape Ann in Massachusetts and the Ocean state of Rhode Island. There we can either dive from a boat or simply walk in from the shore. Depending on the season, activities can include picture taking, catching some American lobster or spearfishing for Tautaug or Fluke.
